Yesterday it was a twitter message that Heather was going to eat a giant-sized brownie. Today it's multiple posts with Christmas stories about food and more food and cake, candies, and cookies. I tell you, I can't afford this!
I am very susceptable to the power of suggestion. Say brownie and I'll go make some. Say cookie and I'm considering heating up the dough that is waiting in the refridgerator door.
Currently my house is acting as a protection service for all things snack. (Some of you might call it a hoard, but I'm convinced we're giving these treats a home.) I have brownie stuff in the pantry, complete with walnuts (the walnuts make me THIS close to making them today), right next to the chocolate chips. There are 2 pastries from last night in the fridge and the cookie mix I wasn't lying about. Until lunch there are sugar cookies on the counter and the ice cream maker is waiting in the freezer.
So, this is my request: Stop taking pictures of your yummy desserts. Stop sharing your indulgences. Stop mentioning the delicious treats you're taking to your Christmas party. Please. We've still got 21 days until the end of the year!
"Stop reading, then," you say. Good idea. But the very thought of a picture of some scrumptious yummy is enough to get me clicking for more. I blame you. All of you.
